Lurrie Bell was born in 1958 and was raised by the famous Chicago blues harmonica player Carey Bell
Lurrie has never been better. With the release of “the devil aint got no music” from 2012 and later receiving the award for “Song of the Year” (For the song “The Devil Ain’t Got No Music”), he has done what many people has hoped to see for many years, that he would take his place as one the living chicago blues legends.
John Primer and Copenhagen Slim met up in Chicago in 2003, when the harmonica player of John Primer band invited him on stage.
It was also in Chicago, that Nisse Thorbjørn got his alias “Copenhagen Slim”.
Nisse Thorbjørn won the “Danske Bluesnavn blues artist of the year” award in 2009 after the release of his debut album “CPH SLIM”. The album was awarded 4 hearts in denmarks no.1 paper for culture and music “Politiken”.
He has since worked with his Copenhagen Slim Band, and toured with Lurrie Bell and John Primer in Denmark, Sweden, germany and Norway.
